Daniel's Music Foundation proudly presents the 7th Annual Danny Awards - Lead Sponsor, René Plessner. The Dannys® is an annual, global award show that celebrates the incredible contributions of artists with disabilities to the world of music through live performance and industry recognition.
Enjoy stirring performances and be moved by the powerful stories of the top ten award winners —bands, instrumentalists, and soloists—who represent a broad spectrum of genres and cultures from around the world. Attendees can expect a program that centers artistry first, while advancing a more inclusive music culture and shaping a mindset of mutual understanding and respect. About Daniel’s Music Foundation
In 2006, The Trush Family founded Daniel’s Music Foundation (DMF) to provide access to music primarily for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, creating a safe space where every member is recognized as an individual, not defined by their disability.
Since inception, we have witnessed the talents of our musicians and have provided them with opportunities to share their gifts with others. But we wanted to do more - something that would have an impact beyond the four walls of our music center in NYC.
In 2020, The Danny Awards were born.
Today, DMF is helping to build a more equitable future for people with disabilities through music with high-profile events like - The Danny Awards®, presentations about differences, and our non-traditional record label - Just Call Me By My Name®. We are also continuing to diminish isolation with free in-person and online music programs
nationally.

Accessibility Accommodations
Town Hall is an accessible venue with limited wheelchair seating, available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact Nadine McNeil at [email protected] or 212.289.8912 to reserve wheelchair seating. Please note, wheelchair seating is located at the rear of the orchestra section.
Additional accessibility accommodations will include ASL interpreters, live captioning and audio descriptions of the show. A limited number of braille programs will also be available.
